ok y’all actually SAVED ME
i’m doing:
notes → asktutor.ai / edubrain rewrite
then dropping the text into canva or slidesgo
not trusting ai generators with colors ever again
they have NO vision 😭

I kinda stopped expecting any ai powerpoint generator to make perfect slides for me. Now I just use it to dodge that horrible “blank slide” moment. I throw in a short outline, let it spit out something basic, and then I go in and fix the titles, delete the cringe stock photos, and change the colors so it doesn’t look like a 2004 school project. The AI is good for getting started fast, but if you don’t touch the design after, teachers can tell instantly.
If you’re using an ai powerpoint generator from text, don’t paste your whole essay in there. That’s how you end up with 20 slides of full paragraphs nobody wants to read. I usually write a quick summary of the main ideas myself, give that to the tool, and after it generates the slides I add my own examples, screenshots and graphs. Then the deck actually feels like my presentation, not something ripped straight from the internet.
@finals_mode_on yeah, that's the move — AI for content, human for vibes 💀
I tried Gamma this semester (gamma.app) as an ai powerpoint generator from text. Paste your notes or prompt, and it spits out a full deck in like 2 mins with clean layouts and no exploding text.
Exported to PPTX fine, then I just swapped colors in Canva. Looks pro without the 2003 energy. Anyone else using Gamma for group presentations? Does it handle collab well?
For real speedrun mode: SlidesAI.io (the Google Slides add-on) is underrated af.
You paste text or upload a doc, pick number of slides, and it generates everything inside Google Slides — no export drama.
I used it for a 10-slide econ presentation last week: input summary → AI made bullets + basic images → tweaked in 5 mins.
Best free ai powerpoint generator online if you're already in Google ecosystem. Pro tip: tell it "keep it minimal, student style" so no corporate cringe.
