Is there an AI lecture note taker that actually works for fast-talking professors? (RIP my wrist) ✍️

@kirby_main_2007 It struggles a bit with super niche jargon, but most AIs do. What I do is I paste the syllabus or a list of keywords into the prompt first. Like: "Context: This is a lecture on organic chemistry. Keywords: alkane, alkene, chirality." Then I paste the transcript. It helps the AI recognize the weird words. Edubrain usually figures it out from context though.

Has anyone tried Coconote? It’s all over my TikTok fyp. It looks cute but I feel like it's more for "aesthetic notes" than actual heavy studying. I tried it once and it missed a huge section on the exam because it summarized too much.

I stick to Notion + their AI add-on. I type my messy notes during class (just keywords), then hit "Ask AI to fix spelling and grammar" and "Make this longer". It's not fully automatic audio-to-text, but it keeps me engaged. If I just record the lecture, I zone out and end up playing games on my phone. 💀

Real talk: OneNote has a record feature too, but the AI integration isn't great yet. For now, the "Record on phone -> Transcribe -> Summarize with external AI" pipeline is the only thing that produces 100% reliable results. It's a bit of work, but better than re-listening to a 90-minute drone fest.

Does anyone else have a professor who bans laptops? 💀 I have to use a physical pen. I use Goodnotes on my iPad (when I can hide it) because it can search my handwriting. But for pure "no tech allowed" classes, I just record audio secretly in my pocket (don't tell anyone lol) and process it later.
