WHY does every study app either overhype itself or put me to sleep 😭

Real talk: ai learning assistant for students only works if it adapts to your brain, not the other way around.
I use asktutor.ai mostly for rewriting messy lecture notes — throw in my goblin handwriting scan or typed chaos, say “organize this into bullet points + 3 key takeaways + 2 practice questions”.
It turns soup into something I can actually revise from.
No premium popups every 5 seconds, which is rare.
What’s your favorite prompt for turning notes into study material?

I tried Khanmigo (Khan Academy’s AI) as an ai powered learning assistant — it’s good for structured subjects like bio or chem, asks follow-ups like a real tutor.
But for open-ended stuff (essays, planning) asktutor.ai wins because it doesn’t force you into “lesson mode”.
Combo: Khanmigo for concepts → asktutor for “ok now explain it in memes”.
Anyone mixing tools like this? What’s your ultimate study buddy stack?

Lowkey the best part of an ai learning assistant app is when it lets you argue back.
In asktutor I literally said “no that’s not what my prof meant, he said X, explain why yours is different” — and it broke down both versions without getting defensive.
Helped me understand contradictions in econ theories instead of just memorizing one side.
Feels like debating with a 24/7 tutor who never sleeps.
Has anyone else argued with their AI until it clicked? 😂

For planning mode: I tell my ai learning assistant for students “I have bio test Friday, math quiz Thursday, essay next week — make a realistic schedule with 1-hour blocks and breaks so I don’t burn out”.
asktutor gave me a day-by-day plan with Pomodoro vibes and even suggested which topics to hit first based on difficulty.
No more “do everything Sunday night” panic.
What’s the craziest schedule request you’ve thrown at an AI?

@astro_latte if you’re tired of apps that treat you like a genius or an idiot, try this prompt hack:
“Act like a tired second-year student who just survived this class — explain [topic] with real examples from lectures, add memes if it helps, and give me 3 practice problems with answers hidden until I try.”
Works insanely well in asktutor.ai or Claude.
Suddenly the explanation feels human.
Anyone got a better “humanize the tutor” prompt?
