i’m so tired of every tiktok being like “THIS IS THE BEST STUDY APP EVER 🤯” and then it’s just another bot that makes stuff up

i need real talk: what’s actually the best ai for homework right now? not for writing full essays, just when you’re staring at a math / econ / whatever problem and your brain is just… blue screen

i’ve tried a couple of chatbots and “study” apps:

some are kinda ok

some confidently give WRONG answers, which is wild

so yeah, what do you all actually use at 1am when the assignment is due at 9? which thing is your personal best ai for homework, not just “i saw this in a youtube ad”?

for me there’s no single “god app”, but there is a short list

i don’t think there’s one best ai for homework for every subject. for stats i use one thing, for econ i use another, for writing i still mostly cry and open google docs 😂

if the “helper” can’t show me why something works, i don’t count it. i’d rather have a slower bot that explains than a fast one that just spits answers.

same, i did my own mini ranking during finals

i tested like 4 different bots on the same set of problems. honestly the closest to best ai for homework for me was a tutor-style thing, not a generic chat. i ended up using asktutor (the one at https://asktutor.ai
) way more than the others, because it actually let me say “explain step 2 again but simpler”

it still makes mistakes sometimes, so i double-check formulas on khan academy, but it’s the only one that stayed pinned on my home screen since december

@ghibli_studycore have you noticed it sometimes over-explains tho?

like i asked it about a really basic algebra question and it wrote me a whole novel 😭 i like it for bigger things, but for tiny homework questions i still just go to a smaller bot.

for me the best ai for homework is the one that shuts up after 4–5 lines and doesn’t give me a full lecture when i just wanted a little hint.

i’ve seen people hype chatgpt, edubrain, some bots built on getsolved, random chrome extensions, etc. ngl they all felt the same until i tried them on my cursed accounting homework.

the “best” one for me wasn’t even the smartest, it was the one that:

didn’t sound like a professor

remembered that i always mess up the same formula

let me correct it when it misunderstood the question

so yeah, +1 to “depends on your subject AND your brain”, there’s no universal best ai like people think.
