i kinda split it like this:

“homework saver” = the bot that helps me survive tonight

“grade saver” = the one that actually makes me remember stuff for the exam

if something solves tonight’s set perfectly but i’m still clueless in a week, it’s not the best ai imo. i actually make myself redo 1–2 problems the next day without any app. if i can do them, the tool passes the vibe check. if i can’t, i uninstall and touch grass 😅

@biofinals_broken this is actually smart, gonna steal that method

i used a “homework saver” last year that just gave answers, and then i sat in the exam like “where’s the send button”.

now i use a mix: a small bot for quick hints + a more serious tutor-y one for topics i really don’t get. none of them are “the best ai for homework” alone, but together they’re better than me crying into my notebook

i lowkey think people ask the wrong question. it’s not “what’s the best ai for homework?” but “what’s the best way to use it?”

half my friends just paste the whole question and copy whatever comes out. other half use it to check their own attempt and ask “why is this step like that”. same tool, completely different results.

so even if we all used the same app, some of us would get smarter and some would just get better at ctrl+c / ctrl+v.

@lofi_windowseat fr tho. i used to be in the full-on ctrl+c gang and got absolutely humbled on a pop quiz 💀

now i made a tiny rule for myself: i’m not allowed to open any helper app until i’ve actually tried the problem on paper first. even if my attempt looks like pure chaos. then i look at how it’s supposed to be done, fix my mess, and later try a similar question without any tools at all.

if i still can’t do it on my own, that means i only pretended to learn it lol.

annoying system ngl, but my test scores went from “pls someone curve this” to “ok, maybe i won’t fail the class”.

real talk, i’ve got trust issues with these apps 😭

some of them talk SO confidently even when they’re dead wrong. they’re like “here is your PERFECT solution” and then my teacher is out here marking half of it in red like it’s a crime scene.

so now if something feels even a tiny bit off, i double-check it with the textbook or a quick youtube breakdown. no matter how fancy or “smart” the app looks, i’m not putting my grade in the hands of something that can’t admit it’s confused.
