Lowkey, I’ve stopped expecting any ai study assistant app to be perfect and just treat them like a brainstorming buddy. For example, I paste my messy paragraph into Perplexity and say “give me 3 ways to improve this intro without changing my main point”.
It usually gives one solid idea I can steal. Not writing the whole thing for me, just unsticking my brain. Anyone got a favorite prompt for conclusions? Mine always end up super repetitive 😩

conclusion prompts are my weakness too 💀
I started using Word’s built-in Editor AI suggestions (the new Copilot thing) just for the final polish. It flags repetitive words and suggests alternatives without rewriting everything.
For bigger assignments I combine it with manual editing so it doesn’t feel too clean. Feels safer than full-on ai generators. What do y’all do when the detector is being extra sus even on your own writing?
